![]() ![]() this does NOT effect normal windows browsing. Ps: I used windowblinds per application settings to DISABLE any UI rendering for the 3d mark programs and game executables. how this translates into real world gaming is still uncertain, i might conduct a few tests later on, but considering 3dmark extensivelly tests the CPU + Video, this could very well be evidence that windowblinds actually INCREASES system performance, cause dont forget, running windows UI through the video card (via windowblinds) instead of the processor (standard windows) actually frees up a whole lot more cpu power and better utilises the systems available resources. The conclusion? well if your running a windowblinds system performance in 3dmark isnt effected at all. WITH windowblinds 5 default settings: 3848!!! 3dmarks Without windowblinds 5 default settings: 3846 3dmarks the following, with windowblinds 5 installed. The initial benchmark was conducted WITHOUT windowblinds 5 installed. My system is an Athlon 64 3000+ (venice) 1GB DDR400 ram Winfast Geforce 7600GS - 256MB DX9.0 card. So i thought id take matters into my own hands and run my own little test using the all popular 3dmark 2005. Strangely there are no benchmark tests on google to suggest how a windowblinds system performs in games. Now that ive upgraded my system to a modern mid range - performance computer, and am running games like oblivion on full settings 20 - 60fps, every frame per second counts, thus i just needed to know how WB5 would effect my performance. while i never noticed any real performance differences in the past, i never actually played any graphic intense games on my old system before anyways, hell it was an athlonxp 2000, GeforceFX 5200 system, not like it could run much anyways, so any performance difference on the older games i was running would be undetectable. Logically it would make sense to take the rumors for granted, as after all, windowblinds 5 does use quite advanced graphic rendering technology.Īs a long time gamer myself, i was hesitant to reinstall my copy of windowblinds 5.0 on the basis that it could have a noticable impact on the quality of my gaming. ![]() News A Professional Desktop is an Organized Desktop Spheres of Influence Update - Sins of a Solar Empire II Up to 75% Off Stardock Games During the Steam Strategy Fest Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation - v3.2 Now Available Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion v1.98 Now Available All News > Blog A Professional Desktop is an Organized Desktop How to Standardize the Windows 10 and Windows 11 Desktop Start11 is Not Impacted by KB5028254 Groupy 2.1 Brings New Functionality, Availability to Steam Releasing Fences 4.Many rumors over the internet claim Startdocks windows UI application, windowblinds has a negative effect on gaming performance.
